Are you passionate about gender equity and social justice and want a community that you can engage in these issues with through formal and casual conversations? Are you someone who struggles with verbal expression and is looking for a safe, welcoming, and encouraging space to practice voicing your thoughts and opinions on topics and issues you're passionate about? Then you've come to the right place!
The Feminist Discussions program at the WCC exists to create a space of identity exploration through intellectual and discussion based engagement in topics related to social justice, racial equity, gender equity, etc. Although our programming mainly centers on creating space and opportunities to uplift gender marginalized voices as we collectively process the relevant and current issues of the past and present, we also support various ways of engaging, whether its through holding discussions, reading literary works, or utilizing digital media to inspire and fuel critical conversation and dialogue.
If you have any questions, thoughts, or suggestions on what to discuss in our community, please feel free to reach out to Dejah Carter.
